Haiti’s Hope was born out of the vision of a Christian physician with a heart for the poor. Doctor Helene Friedberg went on her first short term mission trip in 2000, rapidly followed by other trips every few months. Since then, Haiti’s Hope has partnered with local pastors and organizations to help bring healing to impoverished communities. Our new emphasis is on community development and self-sustainable projects to empower Haitians to generate their own income and resources. These include aquaculture, agriculture, education and animal husbandry projects. Through these efforts, we believe that we will be able to teach the people of Haiti to fish rather than giving them the fish! Haiti’s Hope officially became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2005 and since then has been carrying the mission of bringing hope and the love of Christ to the poorest of the poor in Haiti.  It is our hope and prayer that you will join with us in our continuing efforts to change the landscape of Haiti and its people.
